The Directors
Elizabeth Stone
Bourchier benefits from Elizabeth’s twenty-five years serving the publishing industry. In 2010, with her husband David (an international cultural development consultant) she created Bourchier as a vehicle for consolidating her knowledge and experience. Her publishing career began as Reader with Flammarion (France); digitalization projects for the Harvester Press (UK) and consultancy for the Foundation of the Hellenic World (Athens) followed. As Managing Editor at Sutton Publishing, she oversaw the production of 200+ books a year. Subsequently she took up freelance editing and project management. Elizabeth has a Master’s degree in History (University of Oxford) and collects early manuscripts, fine examples of early printing, private presses, and historically iconic books.
Simon Fletcher
Simon has some thirty years’ experience in the publishing industry. He was for fifteen years a senior commissioning editor, with responsibility for over 100 titles annually, for Sutton Publishing, a leading UK history publisher. A long-time professional associate of Elizabeth, he has a Master’s degree from Leicester University (Local History). His specialisms are history, philosophy, and sociology, but his editing career covers a very wide range of genres, some quite esoteric. A keen amateur singer, he enjoys a wide knowledge of choral music and has built an eclectic library of books, music, and film that reflects his many interests.
Erika Fletcher
Erika is the non-publishing voice on the Bourchier Board. But she brings to Bourchier’s management the invaluable benefit of her professional knowledge: with over twenty years in the commercial insurance market, she is currently a development underwriter for a leading multinational insurance company. She is an experienced relationship manager with a focus on delivering profitable growth through collaboration with key strategic partners. A qualified Lay Minister in the Anglican Church, Erika is a keen amateur musician with a particular love of sacred choral music.
