The commission

Copyediting and proofreading

Bourchier was proud to be invited by Brill to edit this inaugural volume of their new book series Gendering the Trans-Pacific World. The anthology presented the usual challenges of a contributed volume – bringing consistency between the chapters in terms of style and structure, while allowing individual contributors to speak in their own voices. The editors subsequently called on us to proofread the book, too.

Below: The copyediting brief and proofreading checklist – essential tools of the trade.

‘Thank you so much for all your work on this anthology. I really appreciate your efficiency and professionalism!  Your efforts have greatly improved our collective work!’
